Lightbulb I got wireless-G info for linksys card getting it up on linux kernel bootup

This info is also under hardware but I think its better posted here too for those that do not look at hardware It took me some time to find this info on getting my linksys card setup thought the kernel to load it right with linux kernel no problem loading windows drivers under ndiswrapper but it was not retaining the essid and key info on bootup , too bad they don't make a program to put this info automatic in the bootup kernel , but anyway here it is , also note I like to shutdown my pc at night so it staying online all the time is not a good idea for me , it would effect my sleep to keep it on , so I shutdown this info is good because now each time I turn on and boot from grub info linux it know brings the linksys card online with the router access on with the dsl net stuff , just look below for linksys netcard bootup info ,

and yes some editing is needed for your card settings ,

I only thing know I need to fingure out is how to turn on the
Encryption option that the Wireless Network Device Properties shows it as
No information thing

info for use with knoppix and KANOTIX , debian type of linux versions

The link below is a post of mine with info on getting linksys online in bootup linux debian type kernel

I what to post it here too because debian type wireless people that have linksys type wireless-G or older type card may what or need this info on the linksys and how to get automatic essid and wep key setup on bootup

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
