LAN Adapter and Wireless adapter stopping each other?
I have just installed SUSE 10.2. Third or fourth venture into the world of Linux this time with no Windows failsafe on my drive to stop me cheating.
At home I use a wireless router which I have no problems connecting to neither does my wife on her notebook.
At work I have to use a wired LAN connection. The network is setup to use DHCP I plug into the network all the handskakes and what not are compeleted and I have an IP address and can see all the network details correctly.
I can't however access the internet or print to the printer (it is installed correctly)
I read somewhere on a SUSE wiki or support forum that there was a problem with the DHCP being used on two devices. So I have disabled uninstalled my wireless adapter and I can magically connect to the internet.
Not an ideal situation to be in. I would like to be able to unplug here and go home and use the my wireless connection without having to mess about reinstalling the adapter again.
Any ideas on the problem. I tried to understand what they were saying but I couldn't make heads nor tails of it.
Box is a Lenevo Thinkpad R60
Otherwise a painless install.
