Hey all,

I can't get KNetworkManager to auto connect to my wireless. It tries, but doesn't get it. I have to go into KWifiManager, scan for networks, change "WEP" to off, try to connect so that KWifiManager switches to "Ad-hoc", Then connect with KNetworkManager. This needs to be done everytime I restart my computer. Any suggestions on how I can get it to connect right away?

I use wlassistant instead. Thats only one i've had luck with on kubuntu anyway (used to work fine in debian with just setting up the /etc/network/interfaces)

Have NetworkManager and Network on and running. System>Administration>Network>Hardware delete all devices, save then close. Right click NetworkManager Icon in panel. Edit connections> add Wireless connection. Add name. Check connect automatically. Check Available to all users. Add defaults, Automatic (DHCP) and security key. Click Apply. This creates the connection. NetworkManager chooses device and parameters. Check profile under Devices in Network Configuration then save. Works in Fedora 12. Network connects automatically after bootup.
