IPW2200 Woes from former Gentoo User

I just switched to Debian and mostly everything is fine, sans the wireless. ipw2200 gives me the same crap everytime I load it:

Quote:
ipw2200: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200/2915 Network Driver, git-1.0.8
ipw2200: Copyright(c) 2003-2005 Intel Corporation
ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:06:05.0[A] -> GSI 20 (level, low) -> IRQ 201
ipw2200: Detected Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection
ipw2200: ipw-2.4-boot.fw load failed: Reason -2
ipw2200: Unable to load firmware: -2
ipw2200: failed to register network device
ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:06:05.0 disabled
ipw2200: probe of 0000:06:05.0 failed with error -5
Can anyone tell me what that means and why I'm getting this? Thanks much, folks.

I would recommend reading the IPW2200 installation documentation which may be found over HERE. And I would suggest beginning with the "Common Troubleshooting Tips" in that document, because example #2 looks a lot like what you're experiencing.
I hope that helps.

I am seeing the same errors, I have read the documentation, and I still cannot make it work. One thing I need to know is how to set `echo 100 > /sys/firmware/timeout' in the early stages of booting.
If anyone has gotten these errors and fixed them, could you please post some help. Thanks.
