ipw2100 wireless connection

Hey

I`ve installed det ipw2100 and looks like it works find. But when I try to connect to my network it doesn`t work. I run fedora core 3.
I got the card running on FC2, but not now.
I`ve tryed iwlist eth1 scan, but there are no results.
Shouldn`t all the network apear even if it is WEP secured?

I`ve tryed
iwconfig eth1 key <my key> open
iwconfig eth1 mode managed
iwconfig essid <myessid>
dhclient eth1

But it doesn`t get an address. Even if I try with static address I can`t ping my gateway

When I run iwconfig eth1:
eth1 unassociated ESSID:"Myessid" Nickname:"mynick"
Mode:Managed Channel=0 Access Point: 00:00:00:00:00:00
Bit Rate=0kb/s Tx-Powerff
Retryn RTS thrff Fragment thrff
Encryption key:xxxx-xxxx-xx Security modepen
Power Managementff
Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

When I run ifconfig eth1:
eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:04:23:70F:5C
inet6 addr: fe80::204:23ff:fe70:df5c/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1

TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:1

RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)
Interrupt:10 Base address:0x4000 Memory:e0206000-e0206fff

When I run route:
Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface
169.254.0.0 * 255.255.0.0 U 0 0 0 lo

Is this normal, or is it because I`m not connected?

Is there something wrong with the installation of the card? Or am I missing some commands?

Thnx for any feedback!!!
