ipw 2200 driver configure

Hi,
i have a problem while enabling wireless in my IBM Thinkpad R51, im using fedora core 4 and also i have configured a ipw 2200 device diver (including firmware 4). But while activating the eth1 connection. im getting the following error:

"ipw 2200 device eth1:1 does not seems to be present, delayed initialization."

i will be thankful to u. if anyone clears this problem.

It seems that some how you have an additional wireless device eth1:1...

As a suggestion remove all copies of the ifcfg-eth1:1 files found in;

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts
/etc/sysconfig/networking/devices
/etc/sysconfig/networking/profiles/default

When done as root restart the network service: service network restart
