Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG now works!

Hi!

I have Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG in Fedora 7 and it didn't work, but yesterday I updated my system and there was a new release of the kernel and now it works great. Could this be the reason?

Thanks.

It could very well be the reason. If you want to make sure, you could downgrade to the previous kernel and see if your 3945ABG breaks again. You could also have a look at the kernel package changelog to see if they mention anything about 3945ABG.

Certainly. The mac80211 support made it into 2.6.23 - maybe you are now on the iwlwifi driver. Supposed to be much better although I haven't got around to trying it.
