Intel pro wireless 3945 and WPA

My notebook installed FC5. I am using Linksys WRT45G AP and Intel pro wireless 3945.
I install the Intel pro wireless 3945 drive successfuly using the following step,
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...=wireless+dell
and
http://www.clip.dia.fi.upm.es/~cocho...Ipw3845install

I can using NetworkManager list out the SSID of my access point and connect it.
But I want to set up a wpa. The system tell me my notebook is not supprort.
Which I shuold install? can I do that without update kernel?
The version of intel pro 3945 driver is ipw3945d-0.7.16. Can I using this version driver?

You need the wpa_supplicant program for WPA support. Read up on the config file format and that will help you configure it to work with your specific wireless connection.
