Installing Belkin USB adapter
Let me start off by saying I am very new to linux, so new that I just installed it for the first time yesterday. I am not a novice in computing, but never had the time to learn anything about linux. I downloaded kubuntu 6.10 and it installed w/o any big problems.
The problem that I am running into is my Belkin wireless adapter. Here is the info from the adapter
IC ID:3623A-F5D7050B
FCC ID:K7S-F5D7050B
From everything that I have found so far it seems that I have the RT73 chipset. That being said I am trying to figure out what I need to do to get my wireless adapter to work. I have read and searched on forums far and wide, some that seem promising, but I lack the knowledge of linux to put some of the more indepth fixes into action.
If anyone reads this and could offer some helping suggestions it would be appreciated. Another thing to note, I have no idea what the linux root commands are lol, I have been reading a lot online today finding commands here and there.
