I can't find the proper driver for my network card

Hi, I'm very new to the Linux universe, and am having lots of problems connecting to the web. I currently have a trendnet wireless card, and haven't been able to find any Linux drivers anywhere. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, the only reason I really wanted to get on the web via Linux is because I was trying to use the synaptic package manager in Ubuntu Linux because I don't understand how to manually install programs. Is there any other simple way to install them? Any feed-back would be most appreciated.
