How to use Aircrack-ng?

I just got the whole aircrack-ng package, and I tried looking for some tutorials on how to use it, but none of them work for me. Does anyone have a simple tutorial on how to work this?

From http://www.wirelessdefence.org/Conte...ck-ng_Main.htm
Quote:
It is currently early days for the project and there is [sic] currently no major differences between the original Aircrack-2.41 and Aircrack-ng-0.3. As soon as differences appear they will be highlighted here.
Have a look on their site, there's some HOWTOs on there.

I haven't used this tool since wireless is a bit flaky for me as it is, but I'm assuming the fact this aircrack-ng is so new is the reason there aren't that many guides for it...

edit: not sure if this is against LQ rules either, so I've asked a mod just in case...

as knowing your enemy and general security research so frequently changes hats to get a better understanding of weaknesses of things like WPA and WEP, it's not felt to be too enlightened to just shut threads like this outright, however linuxquestions.org does not condone malicious and unauthorised cracking of security protocols. please do not ask further questions about this, but this thread will remain.

Duly noted, but I was doing this in a controlled environment here.
