How To Connect Wirelessly

I have a laptop with an embeded wirless card. The system automatically detects the card but I have no idea how to use it. Are there any wireless managers that I can use to search for WAPs and connect to them. Any help appreciated.

Are you sure that your wireless card has been detected and correctly configured? Something like KWifiManager should pick up wireless networks around you and allow you to provide WEP settings, etc.
