how to connect to bluetooth on phone from pc

Not up on wireless topics, but wondering if there is a way to dump my el-cheapo phone memory to pc disk, via bluetooth on usb port. Seems the only connection type I can identify. The phone is a UTstarcom "superslice", on VirginMobile net. VM has no option for uploading this phones content... Basically all I want from it are the still pictures and address book content. I've tried hooking up, and although the bluetooth on my pc sees the device, it will not transfer any data from the phone. I'm guessing that perhaps both ends of the link are trying to be "master"? So is there a peer-to-peer app or something I might try to set up?
Thanks for any info, even "don't bother, can't be done" is useful.

If a 'send via bluetooth' doesn't come up for the pictures I would say you can't.
Does your phone not have a computer cable?

For contacts, try gammu

Try to use gammu or wammu. Some more keywords that may help you follows. There are tons of documentation on Internet, thus I'm not goin' to reinvent the wheel.
bluetoothd, rfcomm, hcitool, kbluetooth, gnome-bluetooth

Try making a search in this forum for 'Bluez' or 'bluez'. You should find some info and links.

I have tried pluging in via usb direct, no device is detected by the pc. The "usb" connector seems to be just for charging the phone battery, unless there is some old style serial protocol, which I have not been able to verify. I have searched the UTC website, no luck at all.
