first of all you should check if there are linux drivers provided.
If not you should use your windows xp drivers, with a wrapper called ndiswrapper.
Try searching for ndiswrapper rtl8180 on this forum, there's a nice how to, that I used.
It's not the same chipset but the procedure should be the same.
I read somewhere else that you would have to change your stack size in the kernel if using feodora.
But you will find out, if your computer locks up.
