How do you get linux to reconize netgearwireless card

I need help in getting linux to reconize my wireless network card

The wireless card is wg311

There is more than one version of this wireless card (Netgear WG311, PCI). According to http://linux-wless.passys.nl/query_p...ndname=Netgear the first version works fully (I have a WG311T so can confirm this) but the two later versions have different chipsets, and are not (yet) supported.

Please tell us:

your distribution and version

any version / revision / chipset information on the card itself

If you have the first revision of the card, which has an Atheros chipset, I can tell you how to set it up with madwifi. If you have a later revision I won't be able to help.
