how can I install netgear wg 311 in fedora core 2?

Hi. I am a beginner in using linux and there is a problem annoying me.

The system is Fedora core 2, and my machine has a wireless card "netgear wg 311". But it cannot be recognized by the system. I can use this card in windows, but linux seems to ignore it. Can anyone tell me what I should do to make it work?

According to the WLAN-NG page (http://www.linux-wlan.org/docs/wlan_adapters.html.gz), that card uses an Atheros chipset.

You might want to take a look at the MADWIFI driver ... see http://sourceforge.net/projects/madwifi/ and http://www.mattfoster.clara.co.uk/madwifi-faq.htm

Another possibility is ndiswrapper ... see http://sourceforge.net/projects/ndiswrapper/

Also, search this forum for 'madwifi' or 'ndiswrapper' and you're likely to find a lot of information.
