how and where to edit the resolv.conf file?


i need to add the DNS servers to a certain resolv.conf file....i cant find it anywhere.
in which directory is it, and what is it exactly that i have to add to it?

It's usually in /etc.

if you have dhcp enabled
mind the adding of "PEERDNS=no" at the top of /etc/sysconfig/network_scripts/ifcfg-eth0 (or eth1 or wlan0 or whatever)
otherwise your changes will be useless...
