Hostpad + 4965agn

Hi,

I was wondering if I can use an Intel 4965agn card with hostapd to create an access point. I believe the card has to support the master mode to do this, is that right? If so, does this card supports it?

Any other solutions to create an AP if this is not the way to go?

Thanks.

What linux distro are you using?

Do you know what driver you are using?

Is it a desktop laptop or netbook?

I was using Debian Lenny. The driver is iwlwifi, built into the stock kernel (installed the ucode also). The mainboard was an Intel Atom platform, Intel D945GSEJT.

Unfortunately I did not manage to put the card in master mode, later figured out from forums that Intel does not support that on their wireless cards.

Any suggestions about what card (make and modell) is fully supported by hostapd to create a stable access point, capable of handling 802.11N with 3 antennas?

I really have no clue - I suggest that you post as a new question.

Cheers
