Unhappy Help installing my "SMC EZ Connect Wireless USB Adapter(SMC2662W)"

Having trouble installing the drivers for my USB adapter.

Downloaded the linux drivers from here:

http://www.smc.com/index.cfm?sec=Sup...rod=268&site=c

I am running Fedora Core 2 and mandrake 9.2 and it is imperitive to get this working that way I can check these forums without switching OS's.

(BTW I am new to linux and instructions need to be Idiot proof for me to understand)

Is there any specific information on this problem?

What have you done so far, and where are you running into trouble?

Well, I have not put the files anywhere because I do not know where they go.

The gzipped tar file can be extracted like this..

tar zxvf SMC2662WV2_Linux.tar.gz

cd SMC_USB_WIRELESS_2662W

less README

./setup.sh
