Help installing my "SMC EZ Connect Wireless USB Adapter(SMC2662W)"
 

Having trouble installing the drivers for my USB adapter.

Downloaded the linux drivers from here:

I am running Fedora Core 2 and mandrake 9.2 and it is imperitive to get this working that way I can check these forums without switching OS's.

(BTW I am new to linux and instructions need to be Idiot proof for me to understand);)

Is there any specific information on this problem?

What have you done so far, and where are you running into trouble?

Well, I have not put the files anywhere because I do not know where they go.

The gzipped tar file can be extracted like this..

tar zxvf SMC2662WV2_Linux.tar.gz

cd SMC_USB_WIRELESS_2662W

less README

./setup.sh
