First, please change your thread title to be something descriptive. (Click on edit, and then go to advanced mode)
As for your question, we need to know more details about your hardware--particularly what make and model of wireless adapter--, what version of Linux, and how your internet connnection is set up---eg static or dynamic IP?, do you have a router?, cable or DSL?, etc.
To jump ahead one step, open a terminal and run "ifconfig -a". Look for something like wlan0 or eth1--something with a different MAC address from your regular ethernet. Also run "iwconfig" and see if it finds a wireless device.
