Hawking Technology HWP54G Wirless NIC


Hi all,

This is my first post, and I am wondering how well the Hawking Technology HWP54G NIC card works with linux. Thanks!

I use the Hawking on Mepis Linux, a debian distro. The Hawking uses the zd1211 driver that can be found at http://sourceforge.net/projects/zd1211. The driver will work, but don't unplug it once its up and running - it will cause usb errors and it won't restart. It also freezes the system occassionally. Not enough to worry though. I use it on my home pc regularly.
