Hi, I now have a wireless connection with Suse 9.3 and my D-Link router, but it will only connect to my SSID when the security is disabled. Can someone help me to get WPA configured, or tell me how to configure the "wpa_supplicant" installed that I see in Linux or point me in the right direction...Thanks
Thanks for the reply, but I'm new and you'll have give me a little more help...Do I have these drivers, or do I need to get them? And how do I install them...Thanks
I'm having the same problem....I actually got it working with WEP by just creating a file called Keys-eth1 and within the file it is just "KEY=XXXXXXXXXXXX"...But after running airsnort on linux, I was able to crack my own WEP within hours so I changed to WPA... WPA seems like the better security but that just means more difficult configuration...
Thanks for the info, and I would really like to know how to configure the WPA. I'm new to linux as well as wireless so I need all the help I can get...I'm reading alot about it, but like I said its a bit confusing, and creating files is mentioned a lot and thats the part I'm having trouble with...My mind keeps going back to "Windows Mode" and I know that only makes things worse..I'll keep at it..Thanks again
