Fedora wifi auto connect

I'm running Fedora 11 on my home wifi network, network manager is controlling the connection. Trouble is when ever mu neighbours switch on their wireless networks my machine tries to auto connect to their systems.

Is there anyway to stop Fedora scanning for wireless networks?

many thanks
