Hello! I was wondering maybe someone can help me with ndiswrapper. I recently installed Fedora Core 6 (FC6) with the dreaded Linksys WPC11 v4.
I first tried following instructions from
http://www.linuxforums.org/network/w...and_linux.html
But now I have been following the instructions from
http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/m...p/Installation
I followed the instructions, but when I get to entering ndiswrapper –m I get the following output:
module configuration contains directive install pci:v000010ECd00008180sv00008180sd000010ECbc*sc*i* /sbin/modprobe ndiswrapper
;you should delete that at /usr/sbin/ndiswrapper line 713, <MODPROBE> line 1.
module configuration contains directive install pci:v000010ECd00008180sv*sd*bc*sc*i* /sbin/modprobe ndiswrapper
;you should delete that at /usr/sbin/ndiswrapper line 713, <MODPROBE> line 2.
module configuration already contains alias directive
After doing all of that, the POWER and LINK lights of the card are ON. But when I try to install a wireless card in the Gnome GUI, I don’t see the option ndiswrapper(wlan0)
The tutorials haven’t been clear in specifying what to do after you DO get all the console commands/outputs correctly (should I go to the GUI and add the new wireless card ndiswrapper(wlan0) ?)
Any ideas to help me get the stuff working would really be appreciated!
Christian
PS: here’s the steps I followed Before doing ndiswrapper –m
