fc5 madwifi atheros ar5005g wireless network

I have recently brought a new laptop and want to be able to get on the internet via the wireless network card.

I have installed MadWiFi and have read the documentation. However I can't seem to work out how to get the damn thing working.

Has anybody got this working before, and if so could they point me in the right direction for a comprehensive step by step to get it working?
