Um, lets take a quick step back here before launching into a full blown kernel compile. Intel is one of the few companies making wireless chipsets that actually think about Linux, and therefore there are native drivers available for most Intel based wireless cards. Using a native Linux driver usually means that the 4K stack issue isn't a problem. If you can figure out what chipset that card uses (if it is an internal PCI card, try running lspci in a console window) we might be able to get you running without a kernel compile.
Also, since you are running Fedora, check out the kernels produced by the
Linux-NTFS project. This group has traditionally produced kernels without the 4K stack problem and distribute them as an RPM for Fedora. It might be an easier way to go, unless of course you want to learn to compile your own kernel.
