DWL-G520 adapter won't connect in Arch, works with Slax
 
I'm having a bit of trouble getting my wireless adapter to work in my Arch install, though it connects fine with a Slax liveCD.

I've installed the madwifi drivers since it's an Atheros chipset. My rc.conf file in Arch says:

And iwlist scan doesn't detect anything. And I see a message saying dhcp timed out in the error log. When I set my ip address manually iwconfig looks the same, but now iwlist gives
