DWL-G510 Wireless Card and Ubuntu

I have a DWL-G510 with the Marvell W8300 chipset. I got it installed by following these directions: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/DWL-G510

Once I type in sudo modprobe ndiswrapper I can see all the wireless networks in the upper right hand corner. When I try to connect to one the icon in the upper right corner changes from those two computer icons to wireless bars. But when I try to go on the net my browser says I'm not connected.

Any ideas?

do you use dhcp?
Is the gateway correct?
Did you setup the correct DNS
can you ping the router?
