Driver for Wifi Cards

Trying to install DWL-520 PCI card on Mandriva can't figure out how to set up the device. Hardwired Ethernet connection works fine.

The 520 has REV E, it is a Prism driver.

Someone asked me to run /isb/lspci command, can't get it to run from the command line

Help!

Thanks

It should be "/sbin/lspci". If it has a Prism chipset, you should be able to use the driver in the kernel, though I don't know which module you need to load.

It's likely that you'll need to use ndiswrapper which will allow you to use the windows driver. If you're not familiar with ndiswrapper, you can search the forum for lots of helpful hints.

With all due respect, prism is one of the well-supported chipsets in linux. I suggest that you use native linux drivers. It depends on what the exact chipset is (shown by `lspci -vvv'), but there are drivers for Prism 1/2/2.5/3/GT. See www.prism54.org and http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_.../Wireless.html for more information on all the various drivers.

I would use ndiswrapper only as a last resort.
