do i configure my router to set up a wireless network

I am a linux newbie. I am running SUSE professional Kernel 2.6
I have got a linksys router and pci adapter. I have found out that my pci adapter is based on the broadcom chipset so that I will have to use ndiswrapper. My question is: Is there anything that I need to do to configure my router as well? From what I gather, I dont think so, but I did want to verify it so that I am not chasing two problems at the same time.
thanks

I don't know much about configuring your router but I'll give you a word of warning about your card:

I purchased an Orinoco PCI card that is essentially just a PCI board with the Orinoco PCMCIA plugged into a socket. While the Orinoco PCMCIA card is one of the most widely supported on Linux, the PCI socket caused to not to be recognized at all. My point is, the ndiswrapper may work fine for that PCMCIA broadcom card but fail when mounted on a PCI board.
