DHCP offer packet refused

Hi guys

Have finaly got my wireless card working (sort of) i'm still having prolems obtaining an ip address though. I'm sure its something really simple.

When i run
#dhclient wlan0

the script runs and my router send a dhcp offer packet which is then refused, i'm not really sure what is happening here.

Do i need to edit dhclient-script? or another config file?

any help would be appreciated.

are you using a firewall? double-check that there isn't some firewall rule blocking dhcp. if you are using a gui, check with the docs to see how to allow dhcp through the firewall.

Hi thanks for your reply.

I'm currently not using a GUI, although not through choice. Once i installed my wireless card using nsidwrapper, the network installation GUI in FC" still could not 'see' my wireless card so i have to try and set it up using CL.

How do i check that there is no firewall running?

also when i run dhclient i get the message

config for wlan0 not found

it then proceeds to send a dhcp packet to my router......

thanks for your help.
