Dell 700M + Fedora + Orinoco classic ?
 

Hi,

I ordered a Dell Inspiron 700m laptop with an Intel PRO/Wireless 2915 Internal Wireless (802.11 a/b/g, 54Mbps).
I try to install a latest Fedora and add an additional Orinoco Classic Gold PCMCIA card. Is it possible to mask the internal Intel wireless card and use the external Orinoco one only? Would you please give me some links for how to do it? The reason I try to use external card is that I need to add an antenna to extend the range of signal.

If you're using hotplug to find the Intel card, then there's a file that lets you blacklist that device. Can't remember it, however.

Also, if it's a built-in card, you may be able to disable it in the BIOS setup.
