D-Link Wireless Router Kickass

Just wanted to tell you all my D-Link Wireless Broadband Router

Model: DI-614+

Has increased my overall bandwidth on my router. But I still face some problems such as when I had configured it for the first time.

I had to release and renew the my ip address from the computer. I used to configure the router. Sorry to say I used the Windows 2000 pro I have.

But the good news is my linux computer is running on this router. I had read some reviews stating that it had stopped there connection. But most of the linux world stated usually they were running ipchains or sometime of firewall software blocking the internet connection. Basically turning off ports that needed to be opened.

The only thing that disappionts me is the routers use a GUI which is a bit childish compared to using a Cisco router. I see what the future is but it will I believe leave loop holes for hackers to attack the Wireless Routers.

I would have hoped for a dos or unix based command line would prefer unix.... The reason is more could be done because command line would only require very minimal memory storage and usage. This way router would be more powerful.

Like they say more bang for your buck.

Now I going to test my internet speeds....
