Unhappy Crazy!! BCM4312(XPS 1530) wireless still canNOT work... HELP ME!


Hi,

I got a new DELL XPS 1530. It shipped with a BCM4312 wireless card, but I cannot drive it.


its lspci result:

my system is Debian testing AMD64(update everyday)
my kernel version is 2.6.26.2, compiled by myself

i DO apt-get install b43-fwcutter, and in /lib/fireware/ has b43 folder

when I load the module "b43", dmesg show:

But when I run

ifconfig wlan0 up
it show:

wlan0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device

I donot know what am i wrong...HELP ME PLEASE!

Does iwconfig see the card? Are there any messages after the one you showed from dmesg that might be relevant?

When I used it on my Latitude D600, the way to get the driver to work was to edit a udev rule.

Thank you, now i use ndiswrapper to let wireless card work.
