Constantly recieving disassociation packets from AP
Hi all,
I've got Kali Linux 1.0.9 (based on Ubuntu) running on a Samsung N210 netbook. I've had it running just fine before, but I had to lend it to someone and out windows on it for a short time. Since reinstalling it however, I cannot connect to ANY wireless networks. I can scan for them just fine and Ethernet works perfectly. I've updated everything via apt-get by running an Ethernet lead up the stairs.
The driver in use is "rtl819xE" and according to lspci, the wireless card is a Realtek RTL8192E/RTL8192SE. I've also several different USB wifi dongles all from different vendors using various different drivers. All can scan for networks but not connect to them.
My home AP has WPA2-PSK. When I enter in the password it tries for a while, then asks again. From dmesg I can see it successfully associates, then two instances of "RX: IEEE802.1X EAPOL frame!" then finally, "disauth packet!".
I've also tried using WICD rather than the built in network configurer but get the same results.
I have checked the settings on the AP to make sure it's not set to reject any connections and there are about 15 other devices currently connected to it. It's an ASUS RT-N66U if it's of any relevance.
I think that's all I've gone through myself so far!
Any help greatly appreciated!
