Cheers,
I was running Linux Mint 5 on my laptop and everything was running great until about a month ago. I use my laptop at Church as I like to read an online bible. The WEP password to access the Churches wifi is a 10 letter pass phrase. I was able to enter the pass phrase and work online for several months but then all of the sudden the wifi indicated that I was connected but I was not able to access the internet. I assumed that the router needed re-booted but that did not correct the issue. I upgraded the laptop to Mint 6 but this did not fix the issue. When I checked the wifi connection the pass phrase was not saved correctly (hex numbers and a letters not the pass phrase) but this might be normal although my home password is correct. I used this site -
http://www.powerdog.com/wepkey.cgi to generate hex code for the 10 letter pass phrase to see if those codes would let me connect but it work. I changed the to openSUSE and I still have the same issues. I am able to connect to the wifi at home and at work but not at church. Worse yet is that the Windows users are able to connect.
Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
Thank you,
Bob
