connect to ESSID with passphrase!??

Hello!

I run SuSE 10, and uses ndiswrapper with my wireless card.

And I have this problem, when I connect to an unsecured network, the computer gets connected and I may use the internet.
But unfortionatly my school recently passwordprotected the wireless network with a passphrase.

To choose the ESSID I just edit the ESSID-tag in "/etc/sysconfig/networking/ifcfg-wlan-wlan0", but what should I change when I want to use the word "flygskolan" as key??

I've done some tries, just hoping that it's the right field, but I only gets the answer "No ip-adress yet, backgrounding.."

Actually, I don't have a clue where to type this! And how! Is it just to insert "flygskolan" in some field??

Please help me!
I don't want to change to windows just because of this!

Excuse my bad english! :P

Is it WEP or WPA?

If it's WEP, I think

Code:
iwconfig key flygslokan
should get you going, at least until you reboot.

If it's WPA, you should get wpa_supplicant and set up your wpa_supplicant.conf file accordingly.

Good luck.

Okey, thanks!

I think it's WEP,
but I don't think iwconfig works for me, iwlist wlan0 scan aso works, but when I try to change , for example essid, iwconfig wlan0 essid, nothing happens..

However changes in the ifcfg-wlan-wlan0 file works..

Hope I don't give you too much trouble.. :P
