Configuring WLAN card in Mandriva 2006
Greetings
The last week i installed Mandriva 2006 in my laptop everithing is ok except the wlan card Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller there is an option of use the ndiswrapper to use the windows driver (an .inf) but i didnīt work i donīt know what to do now anybody can help me???? |
I too had an issue with Mandriva and the ndiswrapper. I found that adding it to the hotswap config files made it work. I can't remember exactly where I added it, but I'll check tomorrow (laptop is at work). Did you at least get it to work with the ndiswrapper? You may need to download the driver from the net or use wine to run the installation routine.

Thank you
i have been looking for the ndiswrapper
but i donīt know how to look for the version of the ndiswrapper there is a comment to do that??? |
Open the Mandriva Control Center ("Configure your Computer" in the system menu). Select network, setup new interface. Follow the wizard, the second screen will allow you to select the ndiswrapper (Use a Windows driver). From there, follow the wizard's directions. It will ask for the driver disk that came with the card.
