Configuring wireless on Linux mint - Daryna

I am using this beauty distro. for a month now. My laptop is Acer aspire 4520. Things were smooth till the time I decided to go wireless. As mentioned here things should have been breeze. The required .inf file is net5211.inf which I copied from Acer resource CD. However on supplying the .inf file I get the message "invalid driver". Can anyone please help? Some info. is here too but don't think so much tweaking is required since ndiswrapper tool is already present. The wifi router in question is Netgear 614 v7.
