Quite a newbie issue, but hope that someone can provide guidance:
I'm running RedHat 7.2, kernel 2.4.7-10, on an older Dell Latitude CPi-A. Would like to learn how to configure it with an Orinoco Gold PC card.
The system recognizes the PCMCIA device as Lucent Tech WaveLAN/IEEE Adapter; 'cardctl status' says it's 'ready' and lights are blinking on the card.
However, there is no interface for it ('ifconfig -a' shows only loopback running and eth0 not running).
There is no /etc/pcmcia/network.opts file - should there be one?
Where should I go from here?
