chop chop, dlink dwl 650 rev M problems? victory!

i saw a bunch of threads about these dlink cards and the frustrations they cause

i bought mine this time last year, and just got it working a few minutes ago
(if i had money to spend i would have bought a different card)

what i did is sketchy

ndiswrapper 1.0
kernel 2.6.9
distro slackware 9
rtl8180 drivers for windows xp

after i took a sketchy #ifdef (that i didnt need) out of ntoskernel.c (i think, im sleep deprived)
(it was like --- func(var, #ifdef var, #endif var) ---)
it compiled

then ndiswrapper.ko wouldnt load, over two symbols:

per_cpu__softnet_data
and
netif_rx

this is the REALLY sketchy part, I commented them out of ndiswrapper.mod.c
if someone can offer me a better bugfix PLEASE do.
the thing about it is that ndiswrapper loaded and ive been surfing since then.

im so happy, although i am curious about whats going to crash me
