cento's wireless

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
I installed cento's on my Acer travelmate 2300 laptop 6 months ago, i have dual boot windows xp. I would like to know how do you get, or go about getting the wireless to work on Cento's. Cento's works fine with a wired connection. My wireless works fine with Windows XP. I would like to know step by step procedure on how get the wireless going. I have heard about ndis wrapper, but I don't that much about it, I would like to get to know more about it. Thank's. garlicman.

Hye,

first you should think about how many information you provided to solve your problem.

Minimum information should be:
- What version of CentOS did you install?
- What hardware is you Wifi card exactly?
- What did you try to get it work?

No one will answer a question like "It does not work, how can i solve it".

Please be more specific in what you did, what you expect, what you know.

Please post output of
Code:
lspci -v -v
and
Code:
lsmod
and
Code:
iwconfig
.

"cento's wireless" = wireless belonging to cento. But, if cento is a person, it should be "Cento's wireless". So maybe cento is an object----but then it would be "the cento's wireless" (As in "the door's hinge").

If you mean the wireless for CentOS, then it would be "CentOS's wireless", but "wireless for CentOS" is better.

Plural possessive has no added "s"--eg the "boys' bedroom" (bedroom belonging to two or more boys.)

Isn't language wonderful??
