Cannot find wlan0 in network devices

Hello, I'm following the steps of another post to install my dell wireless 1350 card here I have completed all the steps installing ndiswrapper and setting up the driver. When I type iwlist wlano scan I get the ESSID, Protocol, etc for my router. At this point I should be able to add a new device in System Tools->Network Device Control. But there wlan0 option is missing. I've tried to reboot the computer and use modproble -m as suggested with no luck. Can anyone help...
