Cannot connect to wireless net on Debian (sarge)
I've been trying for some time now to get my box in the basement hooked up to the wireless net upstairs. I have the linux wlan-ng package installed and everything works great. I tail the /var/messages and it goes all the way through until it says LINKSTATUS=CONNECTED. Then, when I try to ping someone/thing or browse in firefox it doesn't work! I know the access point is a Microsoft mn-500 and the usb reciever is a mn-510 (yeah, they're microsoft, but they were free) and that the a.p. is in fact using dynamic IP. I'm thinking that might be the snag. There's no way that I know of to turn off the dynamic IP, and i'm really desperate for some help.
