my wifi detects networks which asks for WEP as i connect to them. i enter it but still its unable to connect. i have put it in NetworkManger control. also the PID wpa_supplicant is running even though i have unchecked services of wpa_supplicant.
is this PID (wpa_supplicant) causing a problem for WEP?? if yes then how to stop it???
hey bro. wpa_supplicant is the program that authenticates to wireless networks; you should re-enable those services, because you need wpa_supplicant to be running before you can connect.
obviously there's a problem if you can't connect to networks with a password, but wpa_supplicant isn't it. is it properly configured? if you reckon it is, can you connect to non-passworded networks just to make sure your hardware isn't bad?
