Arrow can i find a dlink wireless driver somewhere?

I just bought a Dlink wireless setup, with a DWL-G520 wireless card. I couldn't get it to work in Red Hat 9.0, so I went online on another computer to see if I could find a driver. It turns out that dlink doesnt make linux drivers for this kind of card, but does anyone know where i could find a site that maybe has unofficial drivers, cause returning it would be a nightmare. Thanks 4 any help!

I am afraid, Justin, that you are going to have to face your nightmare. D-Link does not, as of yet anyway, release the specifications of their wireless card so that third party drivers can be developed.

There is a list, however, that will help you choose your next card. You will find it here.

This list contains a pretty complete set of "working cards" (pcmcia, PCI and USB) for a particular driver: wlan-ng. There are good rpm's for this driver, too, so you can get a card to work without too much trouble.

Cheers--
Charles

Look at www.sourceforge.net and search for "atheros"
D-Link DWL-G650 (newest Hardware) runs fine with the atheros-drivers.
When compiling these drivers you need a tool (installed) called
"uuencrypt".
