broadcom iwireless nic hp R3240US

I have got a HP R3240US laptop w/ the 64 bit processor. I have installed the ndiswrapper and it seems to work. I am having problems getting my wireless card to turn on. The led is not lit up. I have changed just options int the .conf files in the /etc/ndiswrapper folder. For example I was told that some cards require you change a 0 to a 1 in the conf, but I have tried that and either I am not setting the right one or I am missing something else. Just hoping someone would have some suggestions.

Sorry if this is hard to read, in a hurry got to go.
