Best WiFi PCI (or else) card in general for Linux and WiFi network experimentation?

I'm looking to fit a WiFi card to a machine I just put together, and as I have learnt in the past it is always best to ask questions first rather than later!

I'd like some advice on what would be the ultimate WiFi card to use with Linux. By which I mean, it would most likely cause me no problems and I could use it for more or less anything I wanted to. I like experimenting with networking et cetera as I work as a technician and simply find it interesting. Hence things like packet capturing, WEP cracking, etc etc I'd like to experiment with.

For anyone interested in what Linux distrubutions I'm thinking of using I'm not that sure - probably initially Fedora Core 4, but I will probably be installing slackware and a number of other linux distros.

Any and all advice is appreciated :)

Check out the Linux hardware compatibility list.
That should help you find a compatible card that will install "out of the box".
