Auto connect in different wireless network

Hey guys,

I'm doing my homework (actually i ain't doing at all) and I do need your help. Is it possible Linux auto connect in a different wireless network when the active network has been disconnected?

For example: There is a place wich has 2 signals. I'm connect in the network, which is called "wireless1", but, sometime later, this network has been disconnected (no signal). Linux will connect automaticly with the another one ("wireless2")?

If no, how could I make this?

"NetworkManager" handles automatic transfer between networks. Most desktop distributions include packages for it, but don't enable it by default because not all Linux wireless drivers support it.

Like a lot of things details vary by distribution, so if you fill in the "Distribution" field on your profile people can give more specific answers about this. It's also an area where your hardware matters a lot, so it's a good idea to mention which wireless adaptor you have as well when posting questions.

I'm not have computer with wireless. I'm making a homework with need know only if it's possible or not.
